The planning has already started. From the 6th to the 13th of July in 2013, there will be a memorable National camp in Stavanger hosting hopefully 15 000 scouts from Norway and abroad. We think big, and look forward to present a week packed with experiences, spectacular nature, good food and a lot of new friends.

StavangerStavanger is located in an area called North-Jæren, in the county of Rogaland. The city is the 4th largest in Norway, and you can come here either by bus, plane, boat, train, car or even bike if you dare. Rogaland is called the food county of Norway, and with good reason. We have good access to a variety of food and short distances will give the scouts fresh, healthy and exclusive raw materials in world class. Mmmm!
Camp site
The National camp will be located on fields close to Sea. The area is most known from the Battle in Hafrsfjord, where Harald Hårfagre ("Fairhair") put several small kings out of action. This was the start of the unification of Norway in the year 872. The camp site has mostly flat areas, and is laying in one of the largest urbanisations in Stavanger. The city centre of Stavanger, airport and railwaystation are only 15 minutes away.
Walking and hiking in spectacular nature
During the camp, all patrols will be hiking in different areas close to Stavanger. All participants will also take part in a daytrip to one of the most spectacular Pulpit Rocks in the world, The Prekestolen towers 604 meters over the Lysefjord. In addition to the special feeling of standing "on top of the world", the trip up and down is an experience itself.
Time for cooking!
This camp will be the largest in Norway for many years. In spite of this, the troop area and the activities there are very important. The program will reflect this, and there will be sufficient time to make nice meals and enjoy good food.
